- The purpose of this study are (1) Calculate How big family income (2) Calculate How great contribution to the coffee farming family income and (3) to analyze the strategies undertaken for the development prospects of coffee farming. This research will be conducted by the coffee farmers in the village of Bumi Agung North Dempo District of Pagar Alam Town. Method that will use in this study is a survey method to search the entire costs that will use in the production process of the coffee plant and the outlook for the development of coffee farming. The sampling method that will be used in this research is method of simple random (Simple Random Sampling). Samples that will be taken as many as 42 (KK) representing farmers from 810 (KK) farmers in the of Bumi Agungvillage North Dempo District of Pagar Alam. ethods of data collection will conduct in primary and secondary. Primary done by direct observation in the field and premises interview respondents using questionnaire instrument while secondary data will obtain from the agency that involved in this study. Results from this study showed that family income of coffee farmers in the village of Bumi Agung North Dempo district of Pagar Alam is derived from three sources, namely coffee farm, another Farm consisting of vegetable farming and rice farming and non-farming. Average revenue per year for Rp.29.892.332,56coffee farms, the average income per year for vegetable farming Rp.5.219.119,49, the average income per year of rice farming by Rp.711.023,00 and revenue per year on average non-farm of Rp.12.096.190,48. The average total income of farm families by Rp.47.918.665,52 per year, where the income of coffee farming dominant to the family income. The revenue contribution of coffee farming that contributed to the total family income is 62.38% or coffee farming can be categorized contribution to the total income of families that are in medium scale (from 33.34 to 66.66%) This is caused by maintenance that did by each coffee farmers have not been too good or not too effective. Based on the analysis matrices quadrant SWOT obtained strategies that should be applied to develop the farming of coffee in Village of Bumi Agung subdistrict Dempo North Pagar Alam is located on SO strategy is by improve the quality of farming coffee in order to boost consumer demand and create a variety of processed product diversity of coffee in order to develop the coffee farming.
