PERSEPSI DAN PENDAPATAN PETANI TERHADAP PROGRAM TANAMAN KEHIDUPAN SERTA DETERMINAN PEMBAKARAN LAHAN USAHATANI DI DESA RIDING KABUPATEN OGAN KOMERING ILIR

- The purpose of this research were to analyze the perception of farmers to PT Bumi Mekar Hijau Life Plant Program, to analyze the factors that influenced the farmers to do the burning of farming land preparation, and to describe the factors that include the factors of withdrawal and inhibit the farmer to do the burning of farmland preparation. This research was conducted in Riding III Village Pangkalan Lampam District Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. The selection of location was done purposively (purposive location sampling). Primary data collection at research location had been conducted in December 2016 until February 2017. The method used in this research was survey method. The sample farming technique was done by simple random sampling. The results showed that farmers perceptions of PT Bumi Mekar Hijau Life Plant Program were in good criteria with the score of 1.88 and detailed indicators of program implementation with the score of 2.19 with good criteria, the program assisting with the score of 1.33 which was not in good criteria, coaching and counseling during the program with the score of 1.60 which was not good criteria, and the program successing with the score of 2.40 very good criteria. From eight variables suspected to be the factors affecting the decision of farmers to do the burning of farming land preparation, three variables which significantly influenced at the level of ≤ 10 percent was obtained, namely income (P), arable land area (LL), and dummy capital (DM), while the other five variables were variable cost (BV), age (U), education level (TP), labor outpour (TK), and dummy culture (DB)) had no significant effect. From the factors that significantly influenced the farmers decision, the factors inhibiting farmers decisions to do the burning of farming land preparation were income and capital, while the factors that became the the farmers’ decision to do the burning of farming land preparation was the arable land area.
