- The high occupational accidents can be minimized by applying the principle of K3 is using PPE. This is due to a lack of workers' level of knowledge about PPE, so the need for health education about PPE. This study was conducted to know and analyse about the influence of health education on weed sprayers’ knowledge about PPE in PTPN VII District Cinta Manis Rayon 1. The research design for this study was Quasi Experimental Design Non- Equivalent Control Group.The sampling technique used a simple random method with a sample of 20 control group respondents and 20 respondents of the experimental group. This study also used Marginal Homogeneity test. The result of this study was shown that there was no difference on knowledge level pretest and posttest to weed sprayers about personal protective equipment in control group, with p value 0,317. Then the result of experimental group showed that there was difference knowledge level of weed sprayers about personal protective equipment before and after health education, p value 0,001.To sum up the result that health education can affect the level of knowledge of weed sprayers about personal protective equipment. Through this study it helps weed sprayers applying the knowledge of the use personal protective equipment to prevent the occurrence of occupational diseases, and the company also can provide PPE to the weed sprayers.
