  • This research aims to obtain the effect and to determine the best bulk density to efficiency of water storage of drip irrigation system by using spaghetti type and crop yields of mustard green (Brassica juncea L.). The research used experimental in greenhouse to bulk density treatment which consist of three treatment levels (0.8 g/cm3, 0.9 g/cm3, and 1.0 g/cm3) arranged in completely randomized design treatment. The research parameters consist of the water storage efficiency, the fresh weight matter, the dry weight matter, the number of leaves and the dry weight of the roots. The results showed that bulk density treatment of soil affects the water storage efficiency the crop yields of mustard green. The treatment (A3) (the bulk density 1.0 g/cm3) produced the highest of 97.14% at 4 weeks after planting. However, the highest crop of mustard green is produced average by treatment A1 (the bulk density 0.8 g/cm3) which consist of the fresh weight matter, the dry weight matter, the number of leaves and the highest dry weight of the roots respectively with magnitude of 124g, 10.8g, 10 leaves and 1.54g, respectively. The best treatment (A2) produced good level of water storage efficiency of 96.17% at 4 weeks after planting and produced mustard green relatively high yield of the fresh weight matter, the dry weight matter, the number of leaves and the highest dry weight of the roots with magnitude 109g, 9.1g, 9 leaves and 0.88g.
