  • Mosquito is a biological vector of infectious diseases, one of them is Aedes aegypti mosquito dengue virus vector that causes dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF). The use of larvacides is done to stop the spread of mosquitoes by eradicating many mosquito larvae. Natural larvacides are selected because they are more environmentally friendly and less resistant to larvalid synthesis. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of putri malu (Mimosa pudica L.) ethanol extract as a natural larvacide to the death of Aedes aegypti mosquito instar I and III. This research type design is experiment with post test only with control group design where there are two groups that is treatment group and control group. Samples of 25 larvae for each group, and repeated three times. So the total sample of 1050 larvae Aedes aegypti. The result of the research was obtained LC50 instar I at concentration 5688.5 ppm and LC99 at concentration 26915 ppm. The value of LC50 instar III was obtained at concentrations of 10715 ppm and LC99 at a concentration of 29512 ppm. Results in 2880 minutes resulted in LC50 being lower than 5000 ppm (extrapolated). The LT50 value of instar I was obtained at 390 minutes (6,5 hours) and LT99 in the 1940 minutes (32,4 hours). The value of LT50 on instar III was obtained at minute 600 (10 hours) and LT99 at 1776 minutes (29,6 hours). The LC value for all instars is not far from the WHO standard of 10000 ppm and the LT value is below WHO standard of 72 hours.
