- The increasing number of motorcycle users in Indralaya district, Ogan Ilir Regency, will indirectly increase the risk of traffic accidents. The behavior of motorist on the street is often neglect. This can be evident from the presence of motorists who deviate from the rules of safe driving behavior, when they pass and pass on the road there are still many who do not use helmets. This study aims to determine how the orderly attitude of motorbike traffic in the obligation to use helmet, the characteristics of the mindset of the importance of the role of using a helmet when driving, and the attitude of consideration in buying a helmet. The sample in this study were 100 respondents. The sampling technique in this study uses a non probability sampling method. Sampling is done by purposive sampling. The research method used is descriptive statistics obtained from observations and questionnaires, while the data collection methods used in this study were observations (video camera recorders) and interviews (questionnaires). Data analysis was performed by comparing the average value of each variable with the predetermined categories. The results of the study on Jalan Indralaya Raya, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, showed that the level of helmet use on normal days was quite high and minimal violations occurred, while on holidays the level of helmet use was still very minimal. The results of statistical analysis of motorbike riders perceptions of the importance of the role of using helmets when driving can be known from 100 respondents an average value of 43.99 it can be concluded that motorcyclists in Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency are included in the category of characteristics quite well on the importance of the use of helmets in drive Statistical analysis of the perceptions of things considered by motorcyclists in buying helmets can be known from 100 respondents with an average value of 21.52, it can be concluded that motorcyclists in Indralaya district, Ogan Ilir Regency are included in the category of very good characteristics in determining things to be consider in buying a helmet.
