  • Banyuasin waters is one of the centers of capture fisheries in south Sumatra. White pomfret is a planktivor fish which has high economic value so that is consumed by many people, but the number of activities in waters will cause a decrease in water quality. The purpose of this research is to analyze the content of heavy metals Pb and Cu in water and planktivor fish in the waters Banyuasin, Analyze the level of concentration and translocation of heavy metals Pb and Cu in planktivor fish, analyze the water quality of waters Banyuasin based on the aquatic environment parameters. The analysis was conducted using Atomic Absorption Spektrofometer (AAS). Results from this research of Pb in waters ranged from <0.01 to 0.22 mg / L and Cu ranged from < 0.003 to 0.02 mg / L. quality standards that established by Pergub Sumsel, Pb heavy metal content of 0.3 mg / L, while for Cu 0.2 mg / L. Heavy metal content of Pb in white pomfret fish gills are undetected whereas for Cu ranged from 0.1 to 0.9 mg / kg. Heavy metal content of Cu in the flesh ranged from 0.04 to 2.72 mg / kg and heavy metal Pb around 2,52mg / kg at station 1 and undetectable for other stations. BCF of Cu ranged from 0,7 to 325,7 and BCF of Pb is 86,89, white pomfret fish were able to accumulate heavy metals in their bodies. TF of Cu from the gills to the flesh ranged from 0.20 to 2.51 and TF of Pb was not found.
