ESTIMASI NILAI PEMULIAAN DAN MOST PROBABLE PRODUCING ABILITY SAPI BRAHMAN BERDASARKAN BOBOT LAHIR DAN BOBOT SAPIH DI BPTU-HPT SEMBAWA

- Cattle breeding program plays important role to increasing cattle population in indonesia, to obtain a good off spring will be depend on the breeding value of its population. The aim of this research was to study and Estimation of Breeding Value anad Most Probable Producing Ability of Brahman Cattle Based on Birth and Weaning Weight in BPTU-HPT Sembawa. The research was held from January to March 2017 in BPTU-HPT Sembawa, Banyuasin, South Sumatera. Data were colleated from cattle recording from 2010 the period of data were processed by statistical software to analyze 194 data set cattle recording. Observased parameters were Breeding Value and Most Probable Producing Ability based on birth and weaning weight. The result showed that Brahman Cattle population in BPTU-HPT Sembawa has good Breeding Value and Most Probable Producing Ability based on Birth and Weaning Weight. Average of Breeding Value for Birth and Weaning Weight were 28,09 kg and 118,03 kg respeticnely. Average of Most Probable Producing Ability Value were 102,95 kg dan 100,62 kg for Birth and Weaning Weight.
