  • The aim of the research was to study the effect of Selenium (Se) Supplementation to microscopic quality of Simmental Bull fresh semen in Balai Inseminasi Buatan Daerah (BIBD) Sembawa. The research was held from November 2015 to Februari 2016 at Laboratory of Balai Inseminasi Buatan Daerah, Sembawa Banyuasin Sumatera Selatan. Fresh semen were collected from Simmental Bull (35 month old, BW 508 kg). The research was employed Latin square design method with 4 treatment. The treatments are P0 = Control, P1 = 0,01 mg Se supplementation, P2 = Se 0,02 mg Se supplementation and P3 = 0,03 mg Se supplementation. Observed parameters were mass motility, viability and morphology. The result showed that Se supplementation was significantly (P<0,05) affect the semen viability and morphology while mass motility was not affected (P>0,05). The best Se supplementation was 0,03 mg which increase 24.2% mass motility, 21,03% viability and 15,93% morphology of fresh semen Simmental bull
