  • The amount of surface water (surface runoff) are influenced by land use, precipitation and slope. In analyzing the impact of land use change on the amount of runoff need to pay attention or coverage area to be analyzed. This study aimed to analyze the changes and the amount of runoff that exist around the roundabout Jakabaring Halte. This research methodologies using techniques Geographic Information System (GIS), namely DEM analysis to boundary change drainage patterns, overlay land use data, and to analyze the amount of rainfall runoff from the area plan. The data used in this study came from various sources, such as elevation data existing research areas (spot height), the data of rainfall the last 10 years, height data plan underpass, and land use data obtained from the map outline of Palembang with a scale of 1:1000. From the analysis results showed that by a change in of land use at the site Jakabaring Halte Roundabout resulted limit the drainage pattern (catchment area) that area around these locations also change so that the capacity of the existing channels can no longer hold water when it rains. From the analysis and calculation of channel capacity plan Roundabout Jakabaring Palembang Halte, obtained results recommendations for the regional dimension of economical channel Jakabaring Halte Palembang roundabout with a size of 60 cm x 120 cm.
