- Hindian ocean is one of oceans that having an unique characteristic to investigate. The purpose of this research was to determine and analyze temperature, salinity and density profile during January until September 2018 in the waters of Hindian Ocean. This research was conducted in November 2018 – April 2019 in Geographic Information System and Remote Sensing Laboratory, Marine Science majors, Mathematics and Science Department, Sriwijaya University. The results showed that temperature, salinity and density values during January until September 2018 in 95 °BT 8 °LS ranged from 27 - 30 °C, 33,4 - 35,5 ppt and 20,6 - 25,4 kg/cm3 respectively. Whereas, temperature, salinity and density values during January until September 2018 in 90 °BT 0 °LU ranged from 26 - 30 °C, 33,5 - 35,5 ppt and 20,8 – 25,4 kg/cm3 respectively. Thermocline, halocline and pycnocline in 95 °BT 8 °LS occured from 70 - 170 m, 0 - 50 m (on January to July) and 20 - 40 m. Thermocline, halocline and pycnocline in 90 °BT 0 °LU didn’t have a significant because the value changes constantly.
