- The research entitled The Meaning of Women Representative for the Voters in Legislative Election 2014 at Dapil V Kota Palembang analyze the fhenomena of women representative at Dapil V Kota Palembang based on voters perspective. Dapil V Kota Palembang was chosen as research location based on increasing of women representative so there were basis voters in that location. This research aims to understand the voters stock of knowledges about women representative in legislative area, voters counsiousness experience about the candidat of women legislative member,and the meaning of women representative in legislative area. This research used was fhenomenology theory by Alfred Schutz. The method used was a descriptive qualitative research. The informan were gotten by using purposive technuiqe with purposive criteria. Over all, there were 17 informan for this research. The result showed that the meaning of women representative was come from the analysis of voters knowledge about women representative in legislative area, voters counsiousness experience about the candidat of women legislative member, and the motive of voters who vote the candidat of women legislative member Voters in Legislative Election 2014 at Dapil V Kota Palembang . The meaning of women representative showed that women representative have aspirative meaning, representative meaning, psicological meaning, and economic meaning.
