  • The objectives of this study was to find out (1) whether or not there was a significant correlation between saturation in learning and doing English assignment by using student work sheetof the 8th grade students of SMPN 9 Palembang and (2) whether or not there was a significant correlation between saturation in learning and doing English assignment by using student work sheet of the 8th grade students of SMPN 9 Palembang. The Pearson-product Moment correlation coefficient was used in this study. The population was the eighth graders of SMPN 9 Palembang and convenience sampling was applied to get the sample of the study. The samples of this study were 94 eighth grade students: VIII.2, VIII.4, and VIII.7. To collect the data, the sample of the study was given the saturation perception questionnaire in using student work sheet and their English scores was taken. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and Pearson-product Moment correlation in SPSS version 22. The results from descriptive statistics showed that 92.5% of students passed the passing grade. The results also showed that there were 5 students (5.32%) in very low – low saturation category, 66 students (70.21%) in quite - low saturation category, and 23 students (24.47%) in quite – high saturation category. The correlation analysis showed that there was no significant correlation between saturation in learning and doing English assignment by using student work sheet. The analysis of the correlation of each factor of saturation was also reported that complexity, maturity, and fatigue were significantly correlated with English assignment.
