- Background: The forming of maxillary anterior teeth is very important on the process of making dentures. Anthropometric measurements especially intercanthal distance can be the alternative way while forming maxillary anterior teeth if the patient pre-extraction records is not available. Intercanthal distance measurement using caliper has the potential to damage the eye, this limitation can be overcome by using alternative measurement methods with digital photo analysis. Objective: This study aimed to determine the intercanthal distance ratio and digital photo analysis to the width of six maxillary anterior teeth. Method: This study was an analytic observational study using cross-sectional design. The total sample in this study was 30 students of the Sriwijaya University Dentistry Study Program. Intercanthal distance was measured from 'endocanthion' to other 'endocanthion' and digital photo analysis methods with the help of sefalostat. Data was analyzed using the Independent sample t-test. Results: The independent sample t-test results showed differences in the ratio of intercanthal distance between direct and digital photo analysis method to the width of the six maxillary anterior teeth was statistically not significant (p = 0.873). Conclusion: There is no difference in the ratio of the direct intercanthal distance method and digital photo analysis to the width of the six maxillary anterior teeth.
