  • Full Day School System is an education system where all students are required to be in school for 8 hours everyday from Monday to Friday. In Palembang, this education systems were plotted by two schools which were SMAN Sumatera Selatan dan SMA Plus Negeri 17 Palembang National Curriculum 2013 and Cambridge curriculum are used in two schools that use English in the studying process. The addition working hours are complained by the teachers to get fatigue. Laughter teraphy was given to 17 teachers in the intervention group for 8 times with 15-20 minutes duration which aimed for preventing work fatigue and reducing negative emotions. The aim of this study was to analyze the laughter theraphy intervention towards work fatigue on public high school who apply full day school system in Palembang. This study used quasi experimental research with pretest and posttest control group design. The sample of this study was public high school teacher with full day school system in Palembang as many as 34 people. Statistical test were carried out using independent sample t-test and paired sample t-test. The independent sample t-test results before the treatment (pretest) p value 0,329 > 0,05 and after treatment (posttest) p value 0,043 < 0,05. While the results of control group 0,096 > 0,05 and the intervention group 0,000 < 0,05. There were different level of fatigue work before and after intervention in intervention group. The intervention group showed a significant decrease in the level of fatigue work. The laughter therapy could be used to reduce nervousness, anxiety and lack of confidence.
