  • The study aims to determine role of impulsivity towards cheating,fabrication, facilitating academic dishonesty and plagiarism in students of faculty X at university X. The study hypothesis that there is a role for impulsivity towards every type of academic dishonesty in students of faculty X at university X. The population of this study was students of faculty X taken by grade 2th to 8th . The total of population was 2.523 students. The research sample was 307 person and for the try out was 60 person. This study used accidental sampling technique. Impulsivity and academic dishonesty was measured by the scale which refers to the dimensions of impulsivity from Whiteside, Lynam, Miller and Reynolds (2005) and type of academic dishonesty from Pavela (1997). The research used simple regression analysis. The result by regression to determine the role of impulsivity towards cheating, fabrication, facilitating academic dishonesty and plagiarism obtained by value of R= 0.319, R square= 0,102, F= 34,633, P= 0,000 (p<0,05), R=0.280, R square= 0,078, F= 34,633, P= 0,000 (p<0,05), R= 0.170, R square=0,029, F= 9,110, P= 0,003 (p<0,05) dan R= 0.321, R square= 0,103, F= 34,976,P= 0,000 (p<0,05). It proved that impulsivity has a significant role toward every type of academic dishonesty. Thus the hypothesis is accepted.
