PENGARUH PUPUK UREA DAN JARAK TANAM TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN JAGUNG MANIS (Zea mays saccharata Sturt)

- This research aims to determine the effect of adding dosage of Urea fertilizer and spacing to the growth and yield of sweetcorn. The study was conduted in October 2018 until January 2019 at the experimental field of Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University. Method used in this reseacrh was Factorial Randomized Block Design with 9 treatment and 3 replications, comprising of 27 treatment units. There were two factors, the first factor consist of 3 treatment of Urea fertilizer, they are : a dose of 300 kg ha-1 (U1), 400 kg ha-1 (U2), 500 kg ha-1 (U3). The second factor was made up of 3 treatment of spacing, 70 cm x 20 cm (J1), 70 cm x 25 cm (J2), 70 cm x 30 cm (J3). Based on the results, it was that Urea fertilizer and spacing can increase the growth an yield of sweetcorn plants with a dose 500 kg ha-1 (U3) which is 23,02 ton ha-1 and 70 cm x 20 cm (J1) whis is 25,87 ton ha-1.
