- This study aimed to know the society’s strategy of Kampung Arab Al Munawar to sustain cultural heritage in Kelurahan 13 Ulu Palembang. The social situation in this study was the society’s strategy of Kampung Arab Al Munawar to sustain cultural heritage, detailed as follows: Kampung Arab Al Munawar was as a place where the study had been taken, the people who stayed in Kampung Arab Al Munawar as the actors and the strategy that had been performed by the people to sustain the cultural heritage as the studied activity. Informants were taken by using purposive sampling technique with the total of them six people who consisted of two public figures and four in habitants of Kampung Arab Al Munawar. Data collection techniques used were documentation, observation and interview techniques. Data analysis techniques used were reduction, display and verification data. Based on the results of analysis and description, it was known that the people of Kampung Arab Al Munawar were sustaining cultural heritage by protecting, developing and utilizing through education, publications and utilization.
