APLIKASI SISTEM IRIGASI TETES PADA TANAMAN SELADA (Lactuca sativa L.) DENGAN MEDIA TANAM HIDROPONIK SUBSTRAT
Daftar Isi:
- The objectives of the research were to analyze the performance of drip irrigation systems and to determine the effect of crop water requirement and substrate hydroponic planting media on yield of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.). The research was conducted on October to November 2016 at the greenhouse of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sriwijaya, Palembang. The research used factorial randomized block design method with two factors which consisted crop water requirement (A) and planting media (B) with three replications. The crop water requirement had three levels, A1: 85%, A2: 100% and A3: 115% of the crop water needs. The planting media had four levels, B1: rice husk charcoal and cocopeat; B2: rice husk charcoal and empty fruit bunches of palm oil; B3: rice husk charcoal, cocopeat, ferns, macro and micro nutrients; and B4: empty fruit bunches of palm oil and cocopeat. The observed parameters were flow rate, coefficient of variance (Cv), coefficient of uniformity (CU), physical properties of the planting media, crop water needs, temperature and relative humidity, and yield. The flow rate (Q) of drip irrigation system was 0.947 l/h, CU of 96.57% and Cv of 0.034. Each treatment had significant effect on height of canopy, number of leaves, and weight of fresh lettuce. The result showed the best treatment was A3B2 (115% of the crop water needs and planting media: rice husk, and palm oil empty fruit bunches) based on the growth and yield of lettuce with height of canopy of 21.2 cm, 13 leaves, and weight of fresh lettuce of 28.86 g.
