  • The aim of the study was to find out the level of the intrapersonal conflict management in the academic field of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri I Indralaya Selatan. The method used in this study was quantitative with survey. The technique used to collect the data was likert model of psychological scale, with 45 question items given to 34 students chosen randomly by using random sampling technique from 134 students in the eighth grades. The technique used for analyzing the data was quantitative descriptive using percentage (%). The result showed that the level of the intrapersonal conflict management in the academic field that included three aspects: self-knowledge, having the power to solve conflict and choosing alternatives tended to be in the medium category with the percentage (88%), in the high category (22%) and (0%) in the low and very low category. It meant that generally all respondents showed that the level of the intrapersonal conflict management of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Indralaya Selatan in the academic field was quite capable. Suggestions of this study are expected that results of this study can be reference for the next study and can help Guidance and Counseling teachers in providing proper guidance and counseling to students, especially in improving the intrapersonal conflict management in the academic field.
