  • The leaf-eating beetle (Epilachna sp.) is an important pest for certain plants and is seriously harmful for leaves. One of the hosts of this pest is Solanum torvum Swartz. The aims of this research were to find out the effect of bioinsecticide which contained B. thuringiensis to the mortality of imago and larva of Epilachna sp. beetle. The experiment was started from September until December 2016. This research used Completely Randomized Design with 6 treatments, each treatment consisted of 5 replications, each replication consisted of 1 petridish consisting 10 adult or larvae in different observation. The result showed that the highest mortality of adult was 58.00% at the Bt treatment of 108 spores/ml and the lowest mortality was 12.01% at the the Bt treatment of 105 spores/ml. In adult treatment, the lowest LT50 value Bt treatment at 108 spores/ml concentration was 145.54 hours. The highest mortality of larvae was 40.00% at the Bt treatment of 108 spores/ml and the lowest mortality was 18.01% at the the Bt treatment of 105 spores/ml. In larvae treatment, the lowest LT50 value Bt treatment at 108 spores/ml concentration was 79.37 hours.
