ANALISIS PENGARUH KOMPOSISI DALAM PEMBUATAN BRIKET BIOBATUBARA CAMPURAN BATUBARA DAN BIOMASSA PURUN TIKUS (ELEOCHARIS DULCIS) TERHADAP KARAKTERISTIK BRIKET
Daftar Isi:
- Based on data from the Geological Agency, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in 2019, 85% of coal reserves in Indonesia are young coal with low quality. Low quality coal has a low calorific value and high emission content making it difficult to use and not eco friendly. Therefore, for the low rank coal can be used optimally, an alternative technology for coal utilization is needed Biobriquette is an alternative technology that can increase calorific value and reduce emissions on coal. In addition to utilizing low quality coal, biobriquettes can also utilize agricultural waste as biomass. In this biobriquette making study the biomass used is purun tikus which commonly grows wild as a weed in the fields of farm fields and swamps. This study aims to determine the effect of adding purun tikus as biomass to coal in the manufacture of biobriquettes. The variables used in this study are variations in composition with percentage comparisons (100:0, 75:25, 50:50, 25:75, 0:100). The results showed that in composition 50:50 biobriquette produced the best quality coal. The results of the study on the composition of 50:50 produced 11.9% moisture content, 19.46% ash content, 35.14% volatile matter, 33.50% fix carbon and 4470 cal/gr calorific value. As well as initial ignition of 13.24 minutes, burning time of 14.11 minutes, ability of water absorption 2.59%. emissions of CO 601 mg/Nm3 and NO 4,1 mg/Nm3. The results of testing emissions of CO and NO show briquettes with adding purun tikus have a lower emission compared to briquettes without adding purun tikus so that it can be used as alternative fuels that are low in pollution and eco friendly.
