Griff) in n-hexane fraction has been done. The extraction was carried out through maceration following with separation and purification by chromatography technique. The Isolated compound was a white needle crystal. The structure of this compound was determined using 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR. The analgesic activity of the isolated compound was tested on male mice by writhing test method with intraperitoneal (i.p) injection of 1% acetic acid as the pain-inducer. The spectral data analysis were suggested that the isolated compound is a steroid β-sitosterol. The isolated compound showed that pain-inhibition activity was 51.2 % for 1 mg/20 g BB dose, 64.7 % for 2 mg/20 g BB dose and 72.3 % for 4 mg/20 g BB dose.
