  • This research was aimed to know the diversity of soil erodibility values in the oil palm plantations of different ages were age 3 years, 7 years and 9 years of district Sungai Dua Rambutan Banyuasin. This research was conducted in the area of oil palm plantations District Sungai Dua Rambutan Banyuasin and soil analysis done in the Laboratory of Chemistry, Physics, Soil Conservation and Soil Fertility Department of Soil Science, Agriculture Faculty, University of Sriwijaya. This study was conducted in March 2016 through June 2016. The method used in this study is survey method intensive level with the aid of a map scale of 1: 5000. Determination of the observation point and the soil sampling was conducted by intentionally (purposive random sampling) on the area extents of oil palm plantations covering an area of 33.5 hectares. Patterns observations and soil sampling was conducted at three land plant age (3 years, 7 years and 9 years) by making 5 sampling each field so that the number of sample points taken were 15 sampling to represent the land to be studied. Palm plantation area 3 years old is 10.5 hectares, the land area of oil palm plantation with 7 years old is 7 hectares and 9 years old is 16 Ha. The results showed that on the area extents in oil palm plantations of district Sungai Dua Rambutan Banyuasin have value erodibility soil aged 3, 7 and 9 years old classified as low to moderate. Values obtained at the age of 3 years at 0.20 which is included in the low criteria, aged 7 years 0,18 which is still relatively low and a 9 year old obtained a value of 0.25 is classified as being criteria. If the soil organic matter obtained high, it will increase the value of the pore space total (RPT) ground and lower soil density or density of the contents (Bulk density) of land and vice versa, if the soil organic matter obtained lower then the value of the pore space total (RPT) had low condition and will improve soil density or density of the contents (Bulk density) ground so hard to continue water and susceptible to erosion affects the soil erodidibility happened because the higher soil erodibility value so the soil more easily eroded.
