EVALUASI PEMELIHARAAN TAMAN JALAN JENDERAL SUDIRMAN PALEMBANG SEBAGAI UPAYA PENINGKATAN ESTETIKA

- This research was aimed to evaluasi maintenance of road park in the median of Jenderal sudirman street Palembang, as an effort to increase the physical and aesthetic function of the road. The research was started from July until October 2015. The methods used were observation and survey using questionnaire. Likert’s scale are was used to calculating data of the questionnaire while the INP was used to analyzed vegetation, the stages of this research were: 1). Inventory; 2). Analysis; 3). Solutions and recommendations. Results showed that 38 species was found consisted of 13 trees, 14 shrubs, 11 ground cover. Pucuk merah (Oleina syzigium) species has the higher percentage of INP that showed 86.8% wish 39.1% density 16.9% frequency and dominance appearance about 30.9%. From the result of 90 respondents, percentage value showed 32.2 % of the aesthetic, 40% beauty of the park 43.3 % suitability of plant species, 35.6 % diversity of ornamental plants and 38.9 % beauty of the color. The maintenance of Jenderal Sudirman street Palembang showed that it’s was passably. Maintenance of park Sudirman street, needs to improve the functioning of the aesthetic value of the vegetation to increase variety vegetation types and plant color selection.
