  • The objective of the study was to analyze and compare the differences in the average income of the curly red chilli farming of migrant farmers and local farmers in Tanjung Pering Village, North Indralaya Sub-District, Ogan Ilir Districts and to find out how the performance of curly red chilli farming, migrant farmers and local farmers, can be seen from the comparison of the basic price with the selling price, complete with statistical tests. This research was conducted in Tanjung Pering Village, North Indralaya Sub-District, Ogan Ilir Districts. Determination of location is done deliberately (Purposive sampling location). The data collection in this study was conducted in February 2019. The data collected was primary data and secondary data. The research method used was a survey method. The sampling method used is the dispropotionate random sampling method. The results of the research that have been carried out can be concluded (1) There are differences in arithmetic income between migrant farmers and local farmers. Where the total farmers' income is IDR 28.072.275/Ha/Yr, while the income of local farmers is IDR 40.919.306/Ha/Yr. The income of migrant farmers is lower than that of local farmers. In contrast to the results of the test statistically there is no significant difference in the average of both income between migrant farmers and local farmers because of the Asymp value. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0,234 ≥ 0,050. (2) The cost of newcomers to local farmers is lower than the selling price so that the profits generated by farmers are positive, positive profits indicate there is synchronization in the performance of curly red chili farming. There is an arithmetic difference between the selling prices of migrant farmers and local farmers. The average total cost of newcomers is IDR 13.661/Kg/Yr while the selling price is IDR 22.559/Kg/Yr. For local farmers, the average total cost is IDR 9.930/Kg /Yr while the selling price is IDR 20.591/Kg/Yr. Statistical test results indicate the Asymp value. Sig. (2-tailed) of the two variables is greater than 0,05 which means that both accept H0. The conclusion from the statistical test shows that there is no significant difference between the basic price and the selling price of migrant farmers and local farmers.
