  • The aim of this research was to determine the palm oil response (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) Over-prunning (age 13 years) due to the cultivation of land in soil tillage polikulture paddy, soil tillage-no polyculture paddy, and no tillage – no polyculture paddy and response of paddy plants with limited light conditions. This research was conducted from December 2016 until Mei 2016 in the station reseach of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sriwijaya, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra. The experimental method used was split plot design, which were the light intencity as main plot and the varieties of paddy as subplot with 4 replications. The results showed the level of intensity of the light in the rowing space after and before prunning showed increase light intencity (40,29 %). Palm oil plantations was polycultured with paddy not disturb. The activity in polyculture oil palm-paddy can successfully produced palm frond number, chlorophyll, a female flowers more than the palm trees are not polikultured or control.
