  • Narcotics Against Student Attitudes (Study on Sriwijaya University Communication Science Students)". This study aims to determine whether there is an effect on the effectiveness of public service advertisements about drugs on student attitudes and to find out how much influence the effectiveness of public service advertisements about drugs on student attitudes. The theories used in this study are (1) the EPIC theory model developed by Nielsen to measure the effectiveness of advertising and has four dimensions, namely, Empathy, Persuasion, Impact, and Communications. (2) the theory of Three Component Attitude Models by Ristiyanti and John to measure attitudes and have three dimensions of Cognitive Components, Affective Components, and Conative Components. The method in this study uses quantitative methods with descriptive quantitative and explanatory data types. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and observations. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant effect of the effectiveness of public service advertisements about drugs on the attitude of students of the Communication Sciences of Sriwijaya University. From the results of testing the hypothesis it is proven that "There is a significant effect of the effectiveness of Public Service Ads on Student Attitudes". Then H1 is accepted and H2 is rejected.
