  • This study for testing the accuracy of measurement data from Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission satellite (TRMM) for the period January 2011 - December 2015 in the area of Palembang City. As the reference data used to rainfall measurement data using a rain gauge station at Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Palembang. The statistical test were used in this study the calculation of correlation coefficient linear, linear regression, standard error, Mean Bias Error (MBE), Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), and Mean Absolute Error (MAE). The result showed that the TRMM satellite data has a significant correlation with surface station data, where the value of the correlation coefficient was r = 0.92. Meanwhile, error value of each type error is MBE = -10.38, RMSE = 62.80, MAE = 43.75. Calculation of anomalous values rainfall during the period January 2011 - December 2015 showed that is occur rainfall deficit there is a large in the period from July to December 2015. This is because in 2015 for occur El Niño phenomenon, with the result that territory of Indonesia occur dry season standing.
