KOMBINASI FUZZY C-MEANS DAN TOPSIS UNTUK PEMILIHAN BEASISWA PENINGKATAN PRESTASI AKADEMIK (PPA) DI UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA

- Peningkatan Prestasi Akademik (PPA) Scholarship is one of the main Educational assistance by the Government for outstanding students in academic fields who have financial problems. Sriwijaya University (UNSRI) as one of the organizers of the PPA Scholarship program received many applicants. The large number of registrants, the determination of the number of criteria for decision making, the number of quota recipients and the results that are doubted by PPA registrants become a problem in the selection of PPA scholarship recipients. There are 5 decision-making criteria used in the selection of scholarships, namely GPA, Number of SKS, Number of Achievements, Parents 'Earnings, and Number of Parents' Dependents. There are two processes in decision making, namely the process of grouping (clustering) data using Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) and the ranking process using the TOPSIS method. Based on the calculation of XBI (Xie Beni Index) the optimal number of clusters used in this study were 5 clusters. Testing is done by comparing the ranking results using TOPSIS with the results of a combination of FCM-TOPSIS. Of 198 TOPSIS ranking data obtained a percentage of 76,9% while the FCM-TOPSIS combination obtained a percentage of 95,4% of the real results of the 2018 PPA scholarship recipients from UNSRI. From these results, it was found that the combination of FCM-TOPSIS could increase the value of accuracy compared to ranking TOPSIS only.
