  • Macrofauna soil has an important role for the decomposition of soil organic matter in the supply of nutrients. This research was conducted to know about diversity of soil macrofauna on various vegetation at experiment station Faculty of Agriculture Sriwijaya University. The relation among diversity of soil macrofauna and soil chemistry which consisted of soil pH, C-Organik content and N-total. This research used direct observation methode to observe and calculate soil macrofauna species in each vegetation and analysis in the laboratory to calculate and identification soil macrofauna species. Data and information obtained in the field were identified species and total of soil macrofauna. Soil macrofauna species in the field were calculate its diversity by using Index Shannon. The highest of index soil macrofauna diversity found in land rubber vegetation. While relation among pH, C-Organik and N-total with Index Shannon were analyzed by using correlation. Correlation between C-organik and N-total with a diversity index of soil macrofauna in some vegetation in the experimental garden Sriwijaya University Faculty of Agriculture has a very strong relationship.
