PENGARUH BIOCHAR DENGAN KOTORAN AYAM TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI JAGUNG PADA LAHAN BEKAS KACANG TUNGGAK DAN LAHAN BERA TANPA OLAH TANAH

- The objective of the research was to determine the effect of biochar dosage with chicken manure on the growth and yield of corn on former cowpea land and fallow land. The research was conducted from April 2015 until July 2015 in the field of Agro Techno Park (ATP) Ministry of Research and Technology in Indralaya, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra. The research used a Split Plot Design, which consists of two factors with three replications. The first factor as the main plot is research field T1 = former cowpea land, T2 = fallow land. The second factor as the sub plot was combination of biochar with chicken manure that is P0 = without biochar and chicken manure, P1 = 2,5 ton ha-1 biochar, P2 = 1,5 ton ha-1 biochar : 2,5 ton ha-1 chicken manure, P3 = 1 ton ha-1 biochar : 5 ton ha-1 chicken manure, P4 = 0,5 ton ha-1 biochar : 7,5 ton ha-1 chicken manure, P5 = 10 ton ha-1 chicken manure. The results showed that treatment P5 (10 ton ha-1 chicken manure) on former cowpea land was better than other treatments it resulted 7,77 ton ha-1.
