- This research is entitled "The Role of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in Community Empowerment in Agung Jaya Village, Lalan District, Musi Banyuasin District." The problem of this research is the role of Village-Owned Enterprises in Village-Owned Enterprises in Community Empowerment. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. This study uses the Role Theory from David Bery. The results of this study, namely BUMDesa Jaya Lestari Agung Jaya Village has a strategic role in moving motorcycles in rural areas in accordance with their duties, rights and functions, where BUMDes Jaya Lestari opens several business units that are provided automatically to open employment opportunities between potential youth in the village. BUMDes also plays a role as a village financial institution providing business development assistance in the form of funds loan assistance as capital for developing businesses. Supporting factors such as human resources and service to the community are greatly increasing for the realization of improved welfare in the community.
