Monitoring of Mangrove forest is important to know distribution and area of mangrove in Lepar Island area of South Bangka Regency. The purpose of this researches to map the extent and density of mangroves in 2015, analyzing mangrove species in Lepar Island area of South Bangka Regency. This research was conducted in December 2016 using image data SPOT 6 in 2015. This research used unsupervised classification method with a ground check that has has accurate data. The results showed that total area of mangrove in 2015 in Lepar Island South Bangka Regency 865,23 ha. The distribution of mangroves on the coast of Lepar Island dominated in the category of dense. Species of mangroves obtained in this study are R.mucronata, R.apiculata, Sonneratia caseolaris, Xylocarpus granatum and Ceriops decandra.
