- Background: Post-partum hemorrhage is defined as blood loss of more than 500 ml after vaginal delivery or 1000 ml after sectio caesaria or after the completion of stage III. The aim of this research was to identifity prevalence and to determine the relationship of post-partum hemorrhage in terms of age, parity, distance of birth deliveries, blood pressure, labor with action, and prolonged labor of post-partum hemorrhage patients in Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang period January 1st 2014- December 31st 2016. Methode: This research is an observational comparative cross sectional with purposive sampling. The sample are 130 patients who divided into 65 pregnant women with post-partum hemorrhage as a case group and 65 pregnant women without post-partum hemorrhage as a comparison group. The data obtained for this research is secondary data from medical records. The data was analyzed by univariate and multivariate. Results: The results showed that the prevalence of post-partum hemorrhage was 79 cases from 1196 deliveries in 2014, 38 cases from 1072 deliveries in 2015, and 16 cases from 825 deliveries in 2016. From 6 risk factors studied, there is a significant relationship between age (p=0.000 OR=4.178) and parity (p=0.022 OR=2.280) with the incidence of post-partum hemorrhage. There is no significant relationship between distance of birth deliveries (p=0.247 OR=2.384), blood pressure (p=0.310 OR=0.214), labor with action (p=0.718 OR=1.722), and prolonged labor (p=0.492 OR=2,102) with the incidence of post-partum hemorrhage. Conclusion: The results of this research identified age and parity increase risk factors the incidence of post-partum hemorrhage in Dr. Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital Palembang.
