- This thesis aims to determine the role of local government public relations in disseminating information on regional development. This type of thesis research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach method Data collection techniques in this study were in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The researcher used the theories from Dozier & Broom, namely expert advisors, communication facilitators, .facilitators of problem solving processes and communication technicians. The results showed that the role of local government public relations in disseminating information on regional development in Ogan Ilir District played a good role, it can be seen from the experience of public relations who are good at solving problems, as communicators and mediators, providing information tools, helping leaders in solving problems and planning disseminating information about regional development.
