  • The problem of aquaculture activity is high mortality of fish larvae that caused by minimum availability of the natural feed. One of the natural feed with high nutrient content is silk worm. The supply of silk worm as feed for fish larvae is still rely on from nature therefore to support the availability can did by culture the silk worm. The aim of this research is to know the growth of silk worm that cultured on combination media of quail manure and tofu waste fermented and tapioca flour. The research conducted on March until May 2015 in Laboratorium Dasar Perikanan, Aquaculture Program Study, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The research method used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three treatments and three replications : (Treatment A : 50% fermented quail manure, 35% fermented tofu waste and 15% tapioca flour, Treatment B : 50% fermented quail manure, 25% fermented tofu waste and 25% tapioca flour, Treatment C : 50% fermented quail manure, 15% fermented tofu waste and 35% tapioca flour). The culture container entered fermented quail manure, fermented tofu waste and tapioca flour base on composition treatment with water flow 525 mL/min. The media was entered 0.15 Kg/m2 silk worm and than cultured 42 days. The results showed that culture of silk worm used fermented quail manure, fermented tofu waste and tapioca flour gives significant effect (P<0,05) on biomass production, population and nutrition content of silk worm. The treatment B reached the fastest top population was on day of 30th culture with the highest population 737.05 x 103 ind/m2, highest biomass and nutrient contain (3.89 Kg/m2 and protein 58.13 % and lipid 21.38 %).
