- The purpose of this research was to estimate carbon stocks of Londerang Protection Forest East Tanjung Jabung District Jambi Province’s peatland. The results of this reasearch was providing data for carbon stock of Londerang Protection Forest East Tanjung Jabung Timur Districts Jambi Province’s peatland which could help conservation activity of this peatland. This reaserach was done on Juny until July 2017 at Londerang Protection Forest Tanjung Jabung Timur District Jambi Province. This research used survey method with transect sampling methode. The distance that need to be taken on this reasearch was 15,5 km. Distance between every sample was 500 m. There are 31 point of sampling point. Based on this reasearch, the conclusion was peat in Londerang Protection Forest divided into deep peat with 250-300 cm on average 282.96 cm thickness, bulk density ranged from 0.14 g/cm3 until 0,24 g/cm3 on average 0.18 g/cm3, C-organic ranged from 46.17% until 54.81 % on average 53.15 % and very deep peat with 350-600 cm on average 426.33 cm thickness, bulk density ranged from 0.12 g/cm3 until 0.25 g/cm3 on average 0.17 g/cm3, C-organic ranged from 51.19 % until 57.42 % on average 54.23 % , so carbon stocks ranged from 8.9 million-18.6 million ton or 2,706.08 – 3,930.36 ton/hectare with total 27.63 million ton or 3,427.36 ton/hectare.
