- Mud Crab (Scylla serrata) is one of the aquatic biota which can give ecological and economic benefits in the mangrove area. Pedada River Estuary, Kali Alam and Sepat River are the area which have good mangrove ecosystem. The aims of this research were to measure the density of mangroves, to know the relation between long and weight of mud crabs and to analyze the relation of mud crab abundance with environmental condition in Pedada Estuary using PCA. The result showed that mud crabs abundance had ranged from 3.62 - 7.25 ind/m2. The long and weight growth pattern of mud crabs showed negative allometric growth and the density of mangroves had positive relation with mud crab abundance with correlation value r = 0,9917.
