  • The research objective was to determine the role of competitiveness to motivation on online driver at Palembang City. The study hypothesis is competitiveness has a role to motivation on online driver at Palembang City. The study population was all online driver at Palembang City. The study used nonprobability sampling with quota sampling technique and set 120 people as the number of the respondents. Competitiveness scale was measured used factors from Garcia, Tor and Schiff (2013). Motivation scale was measured used aspects from Robbins and Judge (2015). Data analyzed using simple regression analysis. The result of the regression analysis shows value of r = 0,39; F = 22,046 and p = 0,000 (<0,05). It shows that competitiveness has significant role to the motivation. The contribution of R square = 0,157, which means the magnitude of the role of competitiveness in influencing motivation is 15,7%. Thus the hypothesis is accepted that there is a role of competitiveness towards motivation on online driver at Palembang City.
