HUBUNGAN ANTARA AKTIVITAS FISIK DENGAN KUALITAS TIDUR PADA LANSIA DI DESA BERUGE DARAT KECAMATAN TALANG UBI KABUPATEN PENUKAL ABAB LEMATANG ILIR (PALI) TAHUN 2018

- Sleep quality was the ability of individuals could be easy in getting started to sleep, maintain sleep and get the amount of breaks to suit their needed. According to the health service in 2008, the prevalence of sleep quality disorders on elderly in Indonesia was about 49% or 9.3 million elderly. Most elderly in Beruge Darat village still had routine activities every day so they complained about poor sleep quality. This study aimed to know correlation between physical activity with sleep quality on elderly in Beruge Darat village Talang Ubi sub-district PALI district 2018. This study was a quantitative with cross-sectional study design. Used simple random sampling that the sample of respondents was 86 which accordance with inclusion and exclusion criteria. Analysis of study data used univariate analysis, bivariate with chi-square test and multivariate used multiple logistic regression prediction model. The prevalence of sleep quality as much as 64%. The results of bivariate analysis showed that there were a significant correletion between physical activity with sleep quality on elderly in Beruge Darat village Talang Ubi sub-district PALI district 2018. The result of multivariate analysis showed that active physical activity variable had 3,464 higher risk for poor sleep quality compared to inactive physical activity (95% CI: 1,072-11,193) after controlled by age, physical illness, coffee consumption, gender, and work. Suggestions of this study is should the elderly be able to maintain good physical and mental health conditions, as well as a healthy lifestyle. One effort to achieve the health of elderly is to regularly exercise activities that are aerobic because suitable for the elderly such as walking, elderly gymnastics, cycling, swimming. In addition, in terms of family, elderly family members should increase their support for the elderly so that the elderly are in the best quality of sleep, for example by reminding the elderly to routinely check their health conditions.
