- This study is entitled "Social Economic Relation of Trash Pickers in Sukawinatan Landfill Palembang." This study is aimed to analyze the process and type of social relation that occur in the lives of trash pickers at Sukawinatan landfill Palembang. The method used is descriptive qualitative research method, through data collection technique by observation and interviews to obtain findings in the field. Concept of this study was social relation concept from Spreadly and Michener to be able to see the process and type of social relation that occur. The strategy used in this study is a case study, by using purposive sampling. The techniques of this study were source triangulation technique and triangulation method for checking and validating the data. The result of this study showed that the social relation that occur to trash pickers are formed due lo good cooperation.
