  • This study aims to produce learning media which is valid, practical and has potential effect on the subject of PPKn to improve students' learning motivation on Pancasila material as an ideology and basic state in South Indralaya Junior High school number 1. The method used in this study is the development method by Hannafin and Peck model. The validity of media is obtained from the validation by media experts, materials experts and design learning experts. The validation results by the material expert is very valid with the average 4.0. The validation result of media expert is very valid with the average 4,3. The validity of the design learning expert is valid with materials including very valid category with the average 4.2. The practicality of word puzzle media in the one to one stage is 4.4 and at small group stage is 4.1 which are included in the practical category. Then from the field test result, the word search puzzle media has a potential impact to improve student learning motivation of class VIII.4 which is evidenced by the level of student learning motivation obtain in average percentage of 91.7%. it is included in the high category learning motivation because the range of the criterion interpretation percentage score obtained at ≥62.5.
