  • PT. Golden Great Borneo is a company engaged in coal mining, located in the prabumenang village, Lahat district, South Sumatra. Mining activities use CAT 349 excavators (fleet 1) and komatsu PC 400 LC-7 (fleet 2) as excavating tools and Nissan CWB dump trucks as overburden conveyances to the disposal area. The disposal area of the mining area is ± 400 meters. In 2017 overburden stripping has not reached a predetermined stripping target. Not achieving the target of stripping is influenced by several factors that cause the failure to achieve productivity of loading and unloading equipment and transportation equipment that affect the value of match factors not equal to one. This research carried out direct observations in the field by taking and processing primary data in the form of cycle time mechanical devices, bucket filling numbers and haul road conditions, as well as secondary data in the form, type of equipment, number of mechanical devices and rainfall history. Based on 2017 overburden stripping does not meet its target, where the production target is set at 1.062.922 bcm, while the specified production target is 2.062.000 bcm. Lapagan conditions before the research were conducted which had a distance between the mining front with a disposal area of ± 400 meters, using a combination of two loading and unloading equipment and eight conveyances. The condition of the haul road which has been divided into 9 segments shows that there are several segments that have not been ideal (9,5 meters). The factors that influence the failure to achieve the overburden stripping production target at PT. Golden Great Borneo based on field observations are weather, road conditions, idle time and standby time of mechanical devices. The failure to achieve productivity targets is caused because productive work time is reduced, where productive work time is influenced by idle time and standby time of mechanical devices. Idle time that occurs such as queuing, not ideal roads, survey activities, operator requirements, front preparation, queuing at disposal and fuel content causes overburden stripping production loss of 15.597,53 bcm in February 2018. Standby time mechanical devices cause overburden losses of 49.611, 01 bcm in February 2018. More rigorous supervisors and maintenance of haul roads need to be carried out to erase idle time, and improve work efficiency to increase productive work time. Increasing productive work time affects the productivity of overburden stripping from 59.489,28 bcm to 109.100,29 bcm in February 2018.
