PERBEDAAN HASIL PENGUKURAN DIMENSI VERTIKAL OKLUSI ANALISIS FOTO DIGITAL SOFTWARE ADOBE PHOTOSHOP DAN CORELDRAW

- Measurement of true vertical dimensions of occlusion is very important in the process of creating dentures. Measurement of vertical dimension of occulsion can be done directly and indirectly with digital photo analysis using Computer Softwares such as Adobe Photoshop and Coreldraw. Adobe Photoshop software is cheap and easy to use but the image quality is not as good as Corelaw results with a fixed image quality when zoomed in over in dimension. Objective: This study aimed to determine difference in the measurement result of vertical dimension of occlusion with digital photo analysis using both softwares. It is expected that the results obtained from software approaches the direct measurement. Method: This study was an observational analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The total sample in this study amounted to 30 pre-clinical and clinical students of Denistry Study Program, Sriwijaya University . Vertical dimension of occlusion is measured from the nasolabial angle to the menton under occlusion using the Willis method and digital photo analysis method of both softwares. Data were tested using one-way ANOVA test. Results: The results of one-way ANOVA test showed differences in the vertical dimension of occulsion between the Willis method and digital photo analysis of both softwares was not significant (P> 0.5). Conclusion: There was no difference in the results of the vertical dimension of occulsion between the Willis method and digital photo analysis method of both softwares.
