  • This study discusses “The influence of interpersonal communication teacher and student to study motivation of sixth grade students from the national elementary school number 103 Palembang year 2018”. This study uses quantitative research methods, samples taken were 30 respondents where all students were sampled with saturated sampling (Census) techniques. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire, the analysis technique used is simple linear regression analysis using the t test hypothesis test. Based on the results of simple linear regression, the correlation value (R) is 0,450 which means that the relationship between the effectiveness of interpersonal communication with the dependent variable is the study motivation is moderate. R square number (coefficient of determination R2) of 0,174 gives the meaning that the variable of interpersonal communication able to explain changes in study motivation variables by 17,4%, while the rest is explained by other variables not included in this study.
