PEMANFAATAN ASAM ASKORBAT UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PERFORMA IMUNITAS BENIH IKAN GABUS (Channa striata)
Daftar Isi:
- Ascorbic acid is an essential nutrient for fish due to its property which has an antioxidant and imunomodulator. These materials play in fish performance such as immunity protecting fish from pathogen or reducing stress from extreme environment. The purpose of this study is to produce the healthy juvenil of snakehead, besides to determine the best dose of ascorbic acid for fish immunity and growth. This research used complete randomized design (CRD) consisted of 3 treatments and 3 replications. There were P1 (0 mg.kg-1), P2 (50 mg.kg-1) and P3 (100 mg.kg-1). The results showed that ascorbic acid influenced both immunity and growth of fish and 100 mg.kg-1 was the best dose for snakehead rearing. By using regretion y = 2e-0,5x2 - 0,535x + 70 the optimal dose of ascorbic acid was dose of 137,95 mg.kg-1. During 30 days of culture, the growth reached 1,83 g and 18,17 mm for weight and length respectively and survival of fish reached 95,83 %. Immunity performance can been seen from survival of fish exposed to formalin 10 % for 10 minutes, salinity 20 ppt for 15 minutes and prevalence of infection of Aeromonas hydrophilla, which injected with 106 cfu/ml, was about 66,7 %, 73,3 % and 16,7 % respectively.
