  • This research uses qualitative methods because it aims to analyze the mathematical thinking types modeling for high school students in completing problem-solving. Based on the results of data analysis it can be concluded that the process of concretization or identifying problem appears dominantly in students though there are still students who do not understand the problem. The process of objectification or making assumption also appears dominantly in students. Making model quite dominantly appears on the students although some students have already got mathematical sense but still the model made is false. The process of analyzing solution rarely appears in students. The iteration (interpretation) process does not appear in students, there are even students who do not understand how to check the answer again. Implementing the model also rarely appears in students. On problem involving estimation, students cannot complete until the final stage so there is no estimation of the results of students.
