  • Aluminium is a material that has good corrosion resistance, electrical conductives, and also other characteristics as material properties. Aluminium is a material that has many advantages such as having a weight lighter than steel, easy for the formation process, lacks taste, has no smell, toxic-free, able to cope with gas leaks, has good thermal conductivity and recyclable. The way to recycle it is by doing the smelting/recasting of used aluminum production to become the raw material. In addition aluminum also has good mechanical properties. In relation to this, the testing of the mechanical properties of the conduct are hardness testing, tensile, impact, and conducted the XRF chemical composition test, using the new type of oil SAE 15W-50 in the variation of 15 ml and 30 ml oil alloy aluminium. The purpose of this research is to analyze the comparison of hardness value, tensile strength, and impact strength of the results from the smelting of aluminum cans of beverage with oil alloy. The Hardness test tool using the Brinell Hardness Tester type, the tensile test tool using the type of Universal Testing Machine with JIS Z 2202 Standard, the Impact test tool using the Charpy Impact Testing Machine type with ASTM E8M standard. The data obtained on the test are the highest level of hardness is found in 30 ml aluminum alloy which is 50,690 kgf/mm2, And the lowest level of hardness is found in aluminum with no alloy which is 48,129 kgf/mm2. In the tensile test the highest value of σu is found in the 30 ml oil alloy aluminium which is 8,915 kgf/mm2. and the lowest σu value is found in aluminum with no alloy which is 6,217 kgf/mm2. In the impact test the highest value of σu is found in the 30 ml oil alloy aluminium which is 8.915 kgf/mm2, and the lowest σu value is found in aluminum with no alloy which is 6.217 kgf/mm2. In XRF chemical composition test, aluminium without mixture, 15 ml oil alloy aluminium, and 30 ml indicate the material is aluminium alloy between Al-Mn.
