PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN FLY ASH DAN WASTE GLASS POWDER SEBAGAI SUBSTITUSI SEMEN PADA CAMPURAN SELF-COMPACTING CONCRETE TANPA CURING
Daftar Isi:
- Concrete is the most commonly used construction material technology from the past to present. Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC) is an advanced concrete technology that is designed with high workable making it easier in the casting process without the need for external compaction or vibrator tool. In the process of conducting the construction of the field, concrete maintenance is often ignored by workers. Therefore, in this study SCC is designed without any treatment process and with the use of fly ash and waste glass powder (WGP) as a cement replacement material in concrete mixture due to global warming problems due to the use of environmentally unfriendly construction materials where 8% of CO2 emission the world is produced by burning cement with temperatures above 1000 ̊C by the cement manufacturing industry. Thus, waste utilization such as fly ash and WGP is expected to be an environmentally friendly concrete innovation that can overcome various environmental problems because of potency as a pozzolan material rich in SiO2. The results showed that the increasing effect of fly ash can improve workability in fresh concrete. While the increasing use of WGP can reduce the workability of SCC fresh concrete. At fly ash rate of 18% and WGP levels of 7.5% can increase the strength up to 29.17% of the compressive strength of 28 day plan. The weight of the concrete has decreased to 2.87% when more fly ash and WGP levels are used. Thus it can be said the use of fly ash and WGP with optimum levels can provide increased compressive strength of concrete and weight reduction of 28 days old concrete. Testing of concrete prism test is suggested to see expansion of alkaline silica reaction (ASR) occurring on SCC waste glass.
